African Women and Youth organizations runs various categories of internship opportunities that affords young men and women and adults alike the opportunity to be exposed to the world of advocacy and community development as well the experience of sharing experience and knowledge with our partner organizations.
The AYWO internship program is divided into two categories:
1. Professional Advancement Internship (PAI):
It is designed for professional workers who have like passion with AWYO would like to experience the excellent organizational culture of AWYO for a period of six months to one year.
LOGISTICAL: The logistical support internship takes professionals in business world and other sectors who have been exposed to back stopping logistics for organizational activities and programmes and can effectively manage projects.
DEVELOPMENT-PROGRAMME: This category cover experts who would like to work in programmes development, funding and financial support service and programme facilitation and technical research into our thematic area of focus.
2. Labor market integration (LMI) internship:
this internship is strictly administrative experience for green horns. Under this category of internship we take young graduates or undergraduates about to finish their course of study from higher institution of earning with the goal of exposing them to the office environment. This is to prepare them for the labor market and to give them a start up experience that would better facilitate their performance in the labor market.
